Characteristics of sport - discipline among FIS
(Some materials were taken from print and Internet)
Certainly most of you have tried the traditional alpine skiing, where an arc cutting area after another, during the ride enjoying the snowy slopes and finally you skis together and try, what speed you can not "stand". But we believe that probably few of you have seen with my own eyes, let alone experienced something called speed skiing.
Meaning is simple - to achieve maximum speed. Actual implementation is extremely difficult. Indeed, the fastest skiers in this discipline at the end of the slope of speeds up to 250 (!) Miles per hour. This is the fastest alpine world is far from approaching. World record held since 2006, Italian Simone Origone who flew on the slope of a speed 251.4 km / h! "
Philippe Goitschel - FRA (250.7 kmh) - world record of April 2002
The term "fly" can be taken literally, because the skis while riding really affect the country, but they fly on an air cushion. Any technical error can have big consequences.
The most common injuries in this extreme sport are, paradoxically, fractures, burns, but, often very serious. Special suits prevent nasty burns caused by the friction force of snow. This could result in injuries requiring medical treatment to several months. Former world champion Franz Weber spent treating burns after falling at high speed even throughout the year. Today is already higher quality suits and the possible collapse of the neprodřou. If the contestant has yet linen overalls against burns, reduce the consequences of a fall rather extensive bruising. All crashes are most happily without serious consequences. Much of it is narrated by an unfortunate accident, which occurred in the Olympics, when the runner collided with a snowmobile. However, this happened on a normal slope outside the race track. Switzerland Nicolas Bochatay have jumped on the wave field and after hitting the snow groomers, who under mezičkou not see, was killed instantly. In 2005, lost his life Maco Salvagio is moving on to start the black-snow fell and fell down. He was wearing only racing suit, which slips over the snow fall and uncontrolled (non-racing track) did not survive. From this accident are competitors required to be dressed in jackets and ski pants or shorts. It can take off just before the start that this unfortunate incident could be repeated.
If someone wants to try speed skiing, it must first control the perfectly normal downhill skis, and be at the maximum physical condition. Indeed, the drivers work force, which is close to the forces acting on the F1 drivers. Skiers train not only on the slope, but also in the wind tunnel, and this training is crucial for the correct positioning of the body and equipment to minimize air resistance. While this is quite costly, but necessary preparation for the rider to safely complete the exit of more than 1 km long slope with a gradient to 76%. And while safely slides down, yet not won. Cessation of such speeds is very difficult. Most falls occur very close to the measured section, which has a huge compression and skier rises from the basic stance. There are only reflected a powerful force winds and fall risk is highest in this segment.
Speed skiers using equipment specially developed for this sport. Dominated by the helmet, which is designed to put the least wind resistance. Man it resembles an alien. It also sticks to the aerodynamic shape. Even shoes have moderate air resistance - from calves and rear spoilers are attached to calf, so it looks as if legs were wings. A special jumpsuit, we have already mentioned. Of course, that these improvements would be sick if the driver throughout the journey has not respected the basic position, that is a crouching position with chest against her to her thighs and feet 45-70 cm apart, so that it more stability. Maintain this position is very demanding extreme speed. Therefore, every such exit exam physical fitness, stamina and mental strength. Once you get yourself off the top, they're not coming back.
Speed ski races are held mainly in Europe, particularly France. As I mentioned above, speed ski run, only a person with above average physical and mental condition, with perfect discipline of downhill. Therefore, if you want to give this sport, carefully consider your options (both physical and psychological, and financial) to avoid inconveniences later.
Speed can be in Les Arcs try on your own. For about 25 Euros, you have 3 attempts, which increases the raid. Do you have borrowed skis and a helmet. According to the achieved speed can then get a diploma. Bronze in speed from 110 km / h, above silver 130 and gold over 150 km / h. Skiers (unless they are dressed as Tights in a very tight jacket) are able to achieve even stopadesátky at this "low speed" not significantly nehazardujete.
Our goals:
1st Season 2007-2008: Project 224 km / h - to overcome the Czech record
It could succeed at the races at Les Arcs in April 2008. See a list of planned actions. below. Attendance at multiple sites is needed to improve security and stability at high speeds. It aims to get everyone at least 50 FIS points, which would mean placing 30th in the overall place in the World Cup.
2nd Season 2008-2009: Project 230 km / h
This requires ideal conditions. In the case of favorable conditions, this exercise can do this already in the season 2007-2008. We would also like to put 20 place in the overall classification of the World Cup FIS.
In the past season in various locations throughout the world held 14 races. This sport is now on the rise.
Our plan of action for season 2007-2008:
1st VARS - January 29-February 2, 2008 FRA, FIS World Cup
2nd MIKULOV near Teplice - CZE Bournak February 2, 2008, Best Downhill - Evening Open race, the unofficial National Championship

The costs of the above events (stay fee, transportation, insurance, etc.).: About 150 thousand. CZK per athlete
If sufficient resources can be our list of businesses to expand significantly.

1233.3.3 summary of the photoelectric device must be positioned at least one meter for measuring the zone (the location is allowed at the security barricade). Summary of the photoelectric device must be protected by a stepped mound of snow so as to avoid unwanted contact with the skipper. The total amount should be protected as low as possible with minimum length of 2 mA may not exceed 50 degree cm.Pro increase security, all support must be at the level of snow attenuation, for easy removal in case of a collision athlete.
